Sam Bright Muhindo Cheated Death, Survived with a Disability

Myles Munroe, a Bahamian evangelist and ordained minister avid professor, author, motivational speaker, and leadership consultant, once said that if you are looking for gold, don’t rush to mines but try a cemetery, millions of unfulfilled ideas are buried there.

“…you will find a lot of unfulfilled ideas buried there, a good poem, a song, a business idea…,” Unfortunately, not so many people there, managed to discover their hidden gifts in life and so they died with them.

Sam Bright Muhindo the dancing sensation is living his life now, thanks to his unique gift, over the weekend, Sam was treated to a shopping experience thanks to Petsyl Kidz Apparel and Beauty Shop located at Quality Shopping Mall, Naalya.

Dancing in a rhapsody of outfits, Sam is happy to have won himself a deal from Petsyl for two years.

According to Sylvia Nyakairu the proprietor of Petsyl Kidz Apparel and Beauty Shop, she has followed Sam’s journey since he was relocated by Bravo Shoes from Bwera, Kasese to Kampala.

“We would like to promote his welfare by ensuring that he is appropriately clothed. Wherever possible we shall continue to work collaboratively with Bravo Shoes and extend our support towards his immediate family,” she said.

Nyakairu added that she is motivated that any additional support (however little it is) towards Muhindo can promote change in his life.

“My expectation is to ensure that Muhindo has a right to have his views respected and to have his best interests considered at all times. We shall at all cost avoid influencing his views/ his thinking because we have to be mindful that he is a child and he requires guidance to develop into a confident adult,” she added.

How Sam Cheated Death, Got Disabled

With a close look at Sam Muhindo’s right arm, you can realize that it is somehow tilted and he loves to pocket a lot, his handlers say, there is a disability on his right arm! This happened at birth.

Muhindo and his 8 siblings were given birth locally at their home, his mother knows no hospital when it comes to giving birth due to separate reasons.

According to those close to the family, his mother we only managed to know as Itungo nearly died while giving birth to the star, to save both their lives, they had to help by just pulling out Muhindo to save a life.

The source said, they were advised to take him to Corsu in Entebbe but the family could not raise resources and he became a victim of circumstances.

In Bwera-Kasese, it is said that a referral hospital is located 20KM away from Bwera and the available Health Centre in Katwe is not fully equipped.

Zaga says that Sam is a pick catcher and adapts fast and that simplifies his work.

“Sam is a natural talent, he can pick up something you want to tell him before you do anything. The creativity, energy, and flexibility are top-notch,” he added.

  1. God can lift a person from Grass to Grace, from Nothing to Something and from Nobody to Somebody. My advise is that let that boy have guitar playing lessons. I see him as not only a dancer but a great musician. Aluta continua
