BSCS Celebrates World Brother’s Day with a Tour in South Sudan

“Sometimes being a brother is even better than being a superhero.”– Marc Brown, author, and illustrator of children’s books.

A brother is someone with whom you share the dreams of your childhood and the burdens of adulthood. Thank you for being my rock, bro.

Every May 24 is an International Brother’s Day, pay a courtesy call to your brother and tell him you love him, yes, Bravo Shoes Community Support traveled all the way from Uganda to neighboring South Sudan capital, Juba to mark this day different communities.

One of them was St Lawrence Academy, a privately owned school, situated Northward of the Juba Hai-Referendum Residential area-two kilometers away from the main market.

The 3-day journey was a tribute to our unending love for children and the spirit of brotherhood without borders.

St Lawrence Academy school is described as a beacon of knowledge with a team of dedicated, innovative, and competency-based human resources in school planning and management.

School Director Achier Mike John, you’re lauded for setting up a team full of energy and enthusiasm. Wish you all the very best in your academic, moral, and leadership journey.

Bravo Shoes Community Support Organization considered brotherhood as a very strong pillar in humanity whether it is a blood relation or not, and we take this very seriously on account of our objectives and goals to changes lives in this world.

This day was created to recognize the special bond between brothers. Moreover, it also honors the sacrifices that the siblings have made for each other. Usually, World Brother’s Day is celebrated all across the globe by extending sweet wishes and messages on social media by other members of the family as well as friends. However, we chose a “sweet visit”.

Thank you St Lawrence Academy school for being such a good brother, this day was intended to honor the unique connection that exists between us despite distances and time.

The journey wouldn’t be smoother before making a tour in one of the most exciting places in Juba, nights in the Nile Fortune Hotel were worth the time, Juba is a paradise and a good place to stay with hospitable people.

A visit to the world’s newest capital city, Juba the capital and largest city of South Sudan, made the journey enterprising. The city is situated on the White Nile and also serves as the capital of the Central Equatoria State.

Served with a cocktail of entertainment from Uganda and here. On the menu, an Acholi dance commonly known as Rakaraka from Northern Uganda was a desert, and an impromptu dance from Busoga, Eastern Uganda was enough supper.

World Brother’s Day was too lit, there was no way we could live in Juba without saying good morning Juba Parents School fraternity, our beloved school on the mission to build new hopes and a positive mindset to make a brighter chapter in the children’s life full of knowledge and learning. A sneak pick at Juba Parents was worthwhile and Bravo Shoes Community Organization wishes to come back.

The University of Juba is the biggest university in South Sudan. It has strategic partnerships across the world. Bravo Shoes Community Organization was blessed to be welcomed. The university roots back in 1977 and it is one of the top leading Academic Institutions in the Country.

UOJs is a public university located in JubaSouth Sudan, founded in 1975 in response to the need for Higher Education in Southern areas of Sudan.

Due to the Second Sudanese Civil War (1983 – 2005), the university relocated to Khartoum, for the safety of staff, students, and infrastructure.

In 2006, the government that time agreed to change the name of the University to Juba National University. Following the attainment of independence by South Sudan in July 2011, the University has relocated back to Juba, where it was founded. The University gives instruction in the English language.

Who knows the promised land?

Before John Garang died, little truth and bizarre was common knowledge about South Sudan, thanks to the sensational media.

Here we are as we visited the hero’s tombs, as the exodus from Egypt: Garang is seen as Moses, who led his people out from slavery and through the Red Sea, but died before entering the promised land. The crossing of the Jordan: the current president Salva Kiir is seen as Joshua, the successor to Moses, who led his people into the promised land.

Marvelous history is rewritten around the Nile, and those flying in from the US and Europe.

As Bravo Shoes Community Organisation we can say that people are rejoicing however, it is too hot in this sub-Saharan country.

In Juba, the wet season is hot and oppressive, the dry season is sweltering, and it is mostly cloudy year-round. Over the course of the year, the temperature typically varies from 71°F to 102°F and is rarely below 68°F or above 107°F.

Forget the crazy airport, but the Bros Resort embedded with art and entertainment was our oasis in the stubborn weather, our brothers enjoy the best of the River Nile
